Lean training company wide
A critical success factor of Lean deployment in your business will be ensuring every employee is trained to understand and execute the basic principles of Lean and to develop a quorum of fully-trained Lean leaders. We can support you by providing stand-alone training and in developing a comprehensive phased training program over the first and subsequent years of your Lean deployment. Our goal is to partner with our clients toward achieving in-house sustainable Lean. A graduated approach to organization-wide training is part of our partnership strategy to help you reach Lean maturity and enjoy the full benefits of fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
A full suite of Lean training programs
Because we understand the importance of training to the success of your Lean integration, we offer the following classroom and virtual-based training programs, including both synchronous and asynchronous learning and a learn-by-doing approach.
|Kaizen Events (Rapid Improvement Workshop Facilitation)||A Kaizen Event is a collaborative problem-solving workshop focusing on a specific area or process at your company. It provides your team with a practical approach to applying Lean tools and techniques to improve their own processes. This hands-on workshop is for those who want to become more experienced in applying Lean spatial and business process improvement methodologies. This workshop is designed around the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method and is customized to your needs, including coaching through pre-planning to implementation and sustainment.|
|Lean Leadership Workshops
|Designed specifically as an introduction to the Lean continuous improvement methodology. Ideal for leaders, managers and employees to acquire more information about how it works. Includes background and theory, and well as some hands on exercises, including strategy and visioning tools, so participants get to work together to experience the power of Lean firsthand. This is not a cookie-cutter program. Workshops are tailored for your unique organization.|
|Lean White Belt Fundamentals Certification
|A one-day workshop for employees and leaders, this action-packed workshop covers the fundamentals of Lean as well as explaining the core deployment principles. It’s designed to generate enthusiasm and excitement around the huge benefits Lean will afford every employee and, ultimately, every customer. Participants will collaborate in problem solving and learn how to become Lean ambassadors within your organization. This certification can be a public offering and it can be run exclusive to your organization or a group of organizations. When part of a Lean deployment initiative, we will work with you to bring this program in-house, providing our related training materials and train-the-trainer support.|
|Lean Yellow Belt Champion Certification
|A five-day workshop with a dual purpose: 1) enabling Lean champions at department and team levels in collaborative problem solving with a focus on process improvement; 2) providing train-the-trainer format to further develop your organization’s certified Green Belt Facilitators as mentors and coaches in Lean. This workshop will amp up your Lean deployment by equipping more people across the organization to confidently speak to, advocate and execute Lean continuous improvement with less reliance on your Lean Green Belts. Our aim is for this program to eventually be brought in-house by your established Lean Team. [Recommended prerequisite: Lean White Belt Fundamentals.]|
|Lean Green Belt Facilitator Certification
15 to 20 days
|This Lean certification program provides participants with a comprehensive overview of Lean principles, tools, and techniques. Our Green Belt graduates are fully equipped in the practical aspects of Lean and the three types of Kaizen: spatial, process and innovation. Our program is uniquely designed to deepen participants’ skills as effective facilitators, team builders, spokespersons, trainers, advocates and mentors. Additionally, it covers the effective application of Lean through a practical and project-based learning approach. The program is hands on and advances participants to the point where, as Lean leaders, they can independently facilitate and mentor problem-solving initiatives through the entire Kaizen lifecycle of planning, event and solution execution, adoption and sustainment. We’ve been told our program empowers participants as Lean Green Belts and as leaders. [Recommended prerequisite: Lean White Belt Fundamentals.]|
|Lean Black Belt Coach Certification
||Coming Soon! This program is ideally suited for Lean Team Leads and relatively experienced Lean practitioners. Included is training, coaching and guided projects covering Lean Readiness and Maturity evaluations; Lean Deployment Strategy and Planning, Change Management and Communications, and Deployment and Project Management. [Recommended prerequisite: Lean Green Belt (preferably Ultreia’s Lean Green Belt Facilitator Certification) and one to two years’ experience in applying Lean.]|
|Lean Mentoring and Coaching||Less of a training program and more of a coach approach where our experienced Lean Black Belts partner with Lean Leaders in your organization. This can be a strategic component of a Lean Deployment program as well as an integrated or stand-alone Leadership development and performance tool.|
